Backside of Delicate Arch from the adventure trail.
Zoomed in - Andrew and Ellis waiting patiently for us to catch up.
Canyon, this is why this isn't the real trail.

The real trail.
Pertoglyphs near Wolfe Ranch on the way to Delicate Arch. Moderate trail was 3 miles.
Quick trip to Sand Dunes Arch.
Good thing there is a universal signal for will you take our picture? English is not the first language.
On the trail to Broken Arch.
Broken Arch is not broken, it just looks like it from this angle.

Andrew and Ellis enjoyed the Delicate Arch hike so much that they wanted to return in the evening to try it again. Bill and I took the adventurous route (not by choice) and saw the Delicate Arch from the back side. We realized that we could not get to the arch on our current route (deep canyon in the way) so we did some back tracking to catch up with our fast children. Andrew tweeted the photo of himself under the arch wearing his Red Wings jersey and was beaming when the Red Wings favored his tweet.
We all loved this moderate 3 mile hike.
Ate a yummy lunch at Sweet Cravings Bakery and Bistro. Kids swam in the pool here at Moab Springs Ranch. The back of Moab Springs Ranch backs up to the red rock cliffs. Went into town in the evening for a little looking, not much shopping and played euchre on the back patio before bed. No bugs! It has not been as warm as we expected, a reasonable 85 - 95 degrees and 17% humidity means everything dries quickly.
I love the pics! Especially the family pics.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that the temp is good for you all.
Love that the Red Wings favorited Andrews tweet! Enjoying the photos--looks gorgeous.
